Lionel Agoyo Lead Guitar
Lionel Agoyo is from Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo. He started his music journey learning guitar in his early teens. His first band was called Orgullo which played many private events and recorded two CDs that are still played on Northern New Mexico Hispanic music radio stations. He joined band called Heritage which was a mix of Rock, country, and Spanish music. They played a lot of casinos and one band of the year at Tesuque casino. After that he started playing with the band called Hartless which is a female fronted band that plays 80s hard rock covers. As of now his latest two ventures are with tribute bands. He believes in playing homage to his influences. A Pantera tribute band called I'm broken. Which pays respect to the late great guitarist by the name of Dimebag Darrell. Darrell was a dear friend and a musical influence early on. The other is amazing band called Smooth which is a tribute to Santana and other Legendary Latin Rock Bands like War, Malo, El Chicano and others in Classic Latin Rock. This band has played with some great musicians and believes in giving a solid performance in Paying Tribute to Our Musical Heros in Latin Rock.
The Duke David James Vigil was born and raised in Santa Fe NM. He started playing drums around 4yrs old. His Mom played piano. His dad played Bass guitar in a band by the name of Lumbre Del Sol and the Del Reys prior. As a kid The Duke took a fondness to making music within a band. He joined the same band his dad played in Lumbre Del Sol while still in high school. After graduation he continued to play in Lumbre Del Sol as well as playing in his own band Celestial Ecstacy which change its name to Sapphire, following the death of their keyboardist. Around the time Duke was in junior high he attended his first concert, the band was Santana. He grew an appreciation for the rhythmical complexity of Santana’s music. Duke is a singer, songwriter, percussionist, and multi-instrumentalist and enjoys every aspect of making music. “Everyone on this Planet is basically the same. With music we can communicate with the soul directly despite any linguistical and cultural barriers that may exist.”
Ron Delgado started playing way back sitting in with Cascabel, got to play with Don Lovato and Chris Abeyta ,was asked to play for the Don Lovato tribute concert, where I hooked up with his son Everett, to start the Smooth band. It's been a musical adventure since. Always a fan of Latin rock ,especially Santana, made it natural to play the music. Now 69 years young and still grooving.
